Haier Group to Release the World’s First Cloud Smart TV Powered by NeuroSky

(August 17, 2011,Shanghai) – Today NeuroSky China announces a partnership with the Haier Group to integrate NeuroSky’s brainwave technology into the latest Cloud Smart TV. The Haier Cloud Smart TV is a new product, which represents the development trend of Smart TVs. It provides an exciting “Cloud Family” experience to consumers, a step into cloud service and a milestone in lifestyle change. This new TV is scheduled to be released in October this year.

NeuroSky’s brainwave technology can detect human brainwave patterns revealing a person’s mental state. The NeuroSky MindWave then translates the monitored brainwaves into digital signals that electronic device can recognize. Unlike a traditional TV, this Smart TV can interact with viewers via NeuroSky’s MindWave headset. The brain-controlled TV applications can help children practice their abilities to concentrate or practice a calm frame of mind. Additionally, it can also help adults with meditation in order to relieve stress and control their mental states.
