Usability

Traditional Medical Equipment

Traditional Medical Equipment and recording devices require gels and anywhere from a few to hundreds of sensor points to be placed on the subject’s head. Our ThinkGear™ technology includes a single dry (no gel) sensor that rests comfortably on the subject’s forehead and connects to a typical PC for data collection.

Portability & “Noise”

The NeuroSky MindSet resembles a standard stereo headphone, relatively compact and includes technology that enables use outside of a traditional lab environment. Thanks to our ThinkGear™ technology, brainwave data can be collected anywhere you can take your average laptop computer.

Cost Effective

Our goal in developing our ThinkGear™ technology was to bring the benefits of BCI technology to the masses by making it cost effective and easy to use. Research experiments only requiring a single electroencephalography (EEG) channel can be conducted at low costs using our product.  This can also be done without fear of losing data quality as our ThinkGear™ technology has been demonstrated to be comparable, or even better than more comprehensive EEG devices with respect to amplification, filtering, and frequency responses.
